People Ask Me If I Have A Girlfriend, To Which I Reply: ‘Yes, She’s

Introduction

I’m a millennial. I grew up in the age of social media, and I know that what you see is not always what you get. But when people ask me if I have a girlfriend, to which I reply: “yes, she’s called Mum.” Then they nod and smile because they think they understand me better now — but actually all they’ve done is made me feel more insecure than ever before!

People ask me if I have a girlfriend. To which I reply, “yes”. And then they ask me who she is. And then I tell them (in order):

  • Mum.
  • Dad.
  • My sister (who is also my brother).

I’m Catriona Harvey-Jenner and you’re probably wondering if I have a girlfriend. Of course, you are! That’s why you’re here. But in case you haven’t heard the news yet: yes, I do have a girlfriend—and her name is Mum by Catriona Harvey-Jenner.

Or at least it was called Mum before we started calling each other “friends.”

As anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, sometimes things don’t work out as planned or expected. So when things went south between us and she moved back home with her parents after breaking up with me (this wasn’t the first time), my initial response was one of sadness; but then something else happened that made me start thinking about how much fun it could be if we did get back together again someday soon…

But the truth is, women don’t want a man who tries to be their father. They want a man who makes them feel like they can conquer the world.

They want someone who will give them permission to be young and wild, but also knows how to take care of himself in case something goes wrong (and it does).

A woman needs someone she feels safe with. Otherwise, she’ll always worry that he might leave her, cheat on her or die unexpectedly (which has happened before).

There’s something about a photo of a guy, standing tall and proud in front of a sunset, in the woods and sequoias, or near a body of water that speaks to a lot of people.

I think there are some things we can all relate to when it comes to photos:

  • They represent us as people – our values, interests and personality.
  • They give us an idea what we’re like outside of ourselves (or how others might see us).

It represents adventure, freedom, masculinity, romance… All things that women love.

Women like smiling faces. It represents adventure, freedom, masculinity and romance. It is a form of validation that you’re happy with your life and feelings. If you haven’t had any luck finding a girlfriend lately (or ever), perhaps this will inspire you to start looking around again!

The smiley face also gives us confidence in ourselves because we know what we want: happiness! Women love receiving compliments from their significant others. So if they see something positive about themselves in your eyes, then they’ll feel more confident about their own appearance as well. And lastly: women love if you tell them that how handsome/cute/beautiful/hot etc., they look. This is especially when coming from someone whom she trusts like her boyfriend or husband does for example…

And so you see hundreds of photos like this on dating sites — where everyone (but especially the men) look like they’ve been taken from their own adventure photoshoot.

So you see hundreds of photos like this on dating sites, where everyone (but especially the men) looks like they’ve been taken from their own adventure photoshoot. And it makes me wonder: what are people really like when they’re out in nature? Do men who wear pants and t-shirts look like that in real life? I don’t think so.

It’s not just about fashion faux pas or how much time someone spends on their hair — it’s also about misleading people about how people actually look when they’re with their friends and family members.

Yeah, we millennials are confident and proud… but we have our insecurities too. We don’t just want to be validated by our looks — we want to be valued for who we are as people.

If you’re a millennial, you probably know how your appearance can validate your identity. You want others to believe that what they see is reality — and not just some marketing strategy that makes them feel good about themselves.

The problem with this mentality is that it can lead people down a dangerous path. They ignore their own self-worth in favor of someone else’s perception of who they should be or how they should look. And if we don’t stop ourselves from putting other people first at all times (and taking care of ourselves), then it’ll be hard for us to accept ourselves as we are today… which means no matter how confident or proud we may be now, there will always be something missing from our lives because there’s always room for improvement!

Conclusion

So, how do you know if a girl likes you? Well, I guess it depends on her. If she’s super obvious about it then there’s probably something wrong with her mental health. But if she doesn’t feel comfortable talking about it, or if she gets nervous then maybe there is something to get anxious about! Good luck out there, and have fun in whatever endeavors call your name!
