The Single Girl’s Guide To The Roof
The roof is the place to be. It’s the place where you can catch a breeze, lounge on a chair and read a book or magazine. And it’s also the perfect place for single girls who want to relax and get away from it all. Here is The Single Girl’s Guide To The Roof.
Pick up a book.
Pick up a book.
If you’re like me, there are certain books that will always be on my nightstand. They’re not necessarily the ones that I’m currently reading. They may be old favorites or new discoveries. Some are fiction and some are nonfiction. They could have been written by someone famous or just plain old Joe Schmo. But regardless of their genre (or lack thereof), I always keep them nearby because they’re good company when it’s cold outside and dark inside our Brooklyn apartment and I need some time away from the world around me to get through my day-to-day routine without feeling like an outsider in my own home.
My current go-to reads are The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins and Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. It has been an excellent companion for nights when I want something quick but also meaningful. But whatever book you choose to curl up with on those chilly evenings will make for excellent company as well—and if nothing else, any chance at distraction from thoughts about how cold one feels without proper clothing is worth taking advantage of!
Find a good spot with an amazing view.
- Find a good spot with an amazing view.
- Make sure it is safe and secure. If you’re going to be up there for a while, make sure the area is secure and no one can see you from below. Also make sure that there are no windows or doors in your immediate proximity where someone might be able to look in at you (this includes balconies).
- Do not get caught by someone looking through their window! There has been many stories about girls getting caught by men who were just trying to see what was happening up on the roof of their building after dark—so don’t do anything reckless like dropping something off the roof into someone’s home or apartment below!
The roof can be a good place for a single girl to relax and read.
The roof can be a good place for a single girl to relax and read. It’s also an excellent place for you to think about your future, whether you want one or not.
If reading is not your thing, then maybe watching the sunset will work better. It’s already been said that sunsets are beautiful but they do tend to last longer than most people would like them too!
The roof is a great place for a single girl to relax and read. It’s got everything you need: a good view, free wifi, and no commitments. Picking up a book will always keep your mind off things, so go ahead and pull out that favorite novel or romance novel that you haven’t been able to finish yet! Remember though: if the weather is too hot or it’s raining hard overhead then don’t forget about staying inside where it’s safe from getting wet.
